Hello everybody.
So I’ve been researching for about 6 months now for a beadlock wheel and tire combo to run on my ‘19 xp4 turbo.
I originally wanted to run a 4+3 with 30x10x15. After researching this set up, I came across an article fromShock Therapy (highly rated suspension shop out of Arizona). They stated that the 4+3 offset is their most problematic one they see.
After reading that, it was suggested to me to run 5+2 with 30x10x14.

my overall goal was to add some width to the machine, add some ground clearance with taller tires with a 10 ply and some beadlocks.

I am also curious as to what size tire you can run WITHOUT having to re-gear the machine. I plan on having this machine for the long haul and don’t want to over work the motor and gears and cause damage.

I appreciate the help and input.

5/2 with 30's will be perfectly fine with no re-gearing and no noticeable ill effects on bump steer. If you're going to a 10 ply, the 14" wheel will give you a little more sidewall area to help cushion the ride from the stiffer construction of the tire. As far as ground clearance goes, you're only going to add 1/2" going to a 30" tire, depending on how it actually measures out.

I have the same car. I run 5+2 method 401s with 30 inch tensors. No noticeable power loss at all.
I followed shock therapy’s guidelines on offset. 5+2 is the max according to them.

5+2 will make the rear slightly narrower than the front. I installed 1 inch wheel spacers in the rear to even the car up. Shock therapy told me there is no side effect for running the rear narrower than front, other than the look. They told me wheel spacers in the rear are fine, other than the spacers end up being a “weak” point.

That is disappointing that it’ll give it a narrow look in the rear. Whole purpose was to widen for a better“Stance”.
I’m also sure it’s partly because I tipped over in stock tires trying to rip a couple donuts... doesn’t help I left it in 4wheel either 🤦‍♂️ Operator error.

This is what I run with no problems. There is a very good article floating around about the problems with too much offsets on your wheels. I believe the ones I ordered have the same offset as stock.
