Make sure to subscribe to this thread and comment if you like this testing or if you do not let us know what you think we should do different.
Tests are 3 runs with given set up then averaged.
We are not here to bash any company we are just showing our testing of products.

Pro R Dyno reading are slightly higher than our testing in the summer since it is 40 degrees in the Dyno room we do you standard correction but are about 5hp higher than summer.

All stock engine will only rev limit in ECU extended for Dyno purposes.

All stock engine with EVO header / Stock Muffler and only rev limit in ECU extended for Dyno purposes.

Looks like the stock header with a free flowing muffler would be the way to go for trail riding...and the RPM header and free flowing muffler would be good for WFO dune riding.

I that what you guys are seeing?

Chris
I think you pretty much nailed it!!

Looks like I'll be leaving the stock header on and probably doing the RPM muffler.

We do make a pretty nice muffler that is not ear piercing and has a nice throaty tone too.

Great information and good to see how the various brands of headers stack up - Polaris OEM being pretty impressive. Seems a 3" flow through muffler on OEM headers with a tune, is the best value proposition - then add Bikeman cams and you have an amazing package, with a big power improvement for $3k. Keep the $100 per hp coming Joey! Typically when dealing with NA motors, that formula ($100/hp) is not going to work.

Looking forward to adding more power this summer.

Fantastic information Joey! Just what I was looking for. Really appreciate the unbiased testing and hard numbers in an apples-to-apples environment. Question, that lag on the bottom end with the aftermarket headers, can that be tuned out or is it just the way it is with the flow of the header? It seems the bigger the gain on the top end, the bigger the dip on the low end.

A well made header will make about the same power but by changing the primary tube length you can shift the rpm efficiency window around.
