Was hoping to get some input on the Polaris full poly tip out windshield for the Pro XP4 I have on order. Polaris reviews are marginal but there are only 6 which isn't enough tor me to say yay or nay. I have a Polaris tip out on my 900 which has been great. It's a different windshield entirely as near as I can tell though. Thanks for the input from those of you who are running the full poly tip out.

Thanks for the input. Do you experience issues when riding at speed with it wanting to fully open or close when open to the staged open (looks to be about 4-6 inches)? Nice looking car BTW. I'm definitely going to need a winch. The thing looks bada$$, especially next to your friends car. ...oh yeah, it's functional too.

The vent position works great until about 70mph, then the wind will actually overcome the hinges and close the windshield. It surprised us when it happened, just leave it vented when staying at trail speeds now and close for high speed runs. When full open it will flutter a bit with the slop in the strut mounts if you get over about 40mph, as such we only do full open at slower speeds or for a short time at speed to cool off.

These are just adjustments we made to using it, but can say with certainty that I wouldnt want a fixed windshield even with the small learning curve of how and when to vent/full open.

The dual handles to open and close took some getting used to as our Ranger has one handle. But again, we've learned to operate it successfully.

mine cracked around the hing bolt holes like they overtightened it i never even rode it yet
took it to shop and they will warranty it when they get one
i bought a super atv fold down so i dont get screwed with the shortages
i did brace the polaris tip up and the low setting it slams shut at 48 mph
all the way open it starts shuttering at 45 so you cant go fast like the fold down super atv one
i use a glass polaris one in winter with polaris wiper and love it for winter

Thanks for the information! Everything you described is what I had previously read about. @Arcticzale had a different experience, more like what I'm already accustomed to with my 900 Polaris OEM tip out. SuperATV sells a tip out too, but it appears to require an always open or always closed position which won't work for me. I'm also not 100% on the style of the theirs. I'm in Arizona so the windshield is primarily for a little face protection versus being shielded from the winter cold so the windshield is popped out to 4-6" most of the time.
