Like any transmission/rear end, if you put to much oil in it will spit it out the breather. Not really a big deal, but it could start a fire and somebody would sue Polaris.

Im not sure how big of an area is in there, but I would wager a bet that it would take ALOT more than 44oz to make it spit it out the breather. You would have to have the rear end jacked way way up in order to get that much in.

Put in at least 44oz. If you are able to get in 88oz, you might have over did it.....Too much will foam as well. But Id think 50-60oz would probably be fine if thats what you want.

When I did mine last spring, I think I got maybe 50oz in at most with it jacked up. I figure with the wheels a little off the ground, fill it until it starts to run out and call it good. As long as its at least 44oz.

Clear as mud?? lol

One thing - MAKE SURE you can get the fill plugs out BEFORE you drain the oil - just in case.

Changed my Trans and front gear case fluids today.
My 2016 S900 ground clearance is set at 12 1/2" front and rear. I didn't use a jack, it sits plenty high to change the fluids. The trans took almost 48 oz. of fluid to the bottom of the fill plug threads. The Front Gear Case took almost 8 oz. The front calls for 7.5 oz., the Trans 44 oz. in my manual.

Yeah, as the transmission and rear differential are a single unit...:wink
