Wow, we’re you using a gates before?

Did a test and tune weekend with new BMP tune and stage 1 clutch.

Sucks that now I have to go over my suspension again because I am so much faster!

Well worth it. Also, even sounds better with the throttle wide open. Good upgrade.

Great to hear!! Let us know when you are ready for a complete exhaust!!

Agreed. Then bring it with you when you buy a new machine. I’ve used mine on 900s, xp1k and my turbo.

I'm riding tomorrow at Rush so I'll see if it kicks on sooner, I also picked up some engine ice which I haven't put in yet. They claim 10-20 cooler engine temps. My 900s runs hot on long climbs and it's overheated several times. Tired of watching the temp gauge.
I have a heater installed in my 900 with thermostat bupass adapter, when I go to do real long slow climbs (major gear reduction here) I just turn it on high and helps keep temps down as well.

We have so many of these out there it is hard to imagine there can be any 900's without it!:wink
One left here, lol.. I've been on the fence for a couple years now but what the hell, it's waaaay out of warrenty at this point. Question. Over the winter I just installed a HMF slip on exhaust and included fuel optimizer. I guess the optimizer remaps air fuel ratio to compensate for the less restrictive muffler? Only took it up the driveway but it did feel a bit snappier, maybe it's just in my head, I donno.

My wife and I are not large people, I'm a buck fifty and she's barely 100 lbs. We don't carry too much gear. Our riding style is fast and aggressive, mostly hatfield and macoys type stuff. Run stock tires but might try out 28" crawlers. Other then RT pro springs and hmf slip on muffler (quiet series) no other mods to chassis, clutch or engine. So, just trying to get a little more power without doing any clutch work or other mods, which tune would you suggest?

If your adding power youll want a good clutch setup to help get the power to the ground, if you have enough knowledge to an exhaust or install a tune then you can do a clutch kit it's super easy and straight forward and depending on future mods can definitely be worth the investment, I bought a tuner and clutch kit from aftermarket assassins and i am in love with the setup, and any questions and Mike will answer immediately, amazing people to deal with.

You can make all the power in the world but if it doesn't get to the ground it will not be felt. Our power and speed comes with everything you need to get the power out your tires and really be felt. Comes with tune and clutching. If you are intimidated to do clutching don't be. It is pretty straightforward and doesn't take to long.

Comparing stock tune to BMP stage 1... I read through most of this thread during my search for a good stock motor tune. I beleive the
original poster started out a long time ago asking if anyone had some real world comparison info for a 900rzr owner to help with the decision to buy a tuner. I own a stock polaris 900 4, 2016. Stock tires, the only change is a Hunterworks secondary clutch roller conversion. I have some non-technical, real world results for a BMP stage 1 tune on my rzr.
This test was on asphalt, standing start, with 5 runs on the stock tune. 50 to 51 mph was my speed every time when I reached a marked spot up the street. (Roughly 1/8 mile I would guess).
With the BMP tune stage 1 loaded, 59 to 61 was my consistant speed at the same mark. The difference is not so much off the line snap or a wild power change as it simply does not stop pulling hard approaching 45-50 mph when the stage 1 tune is loaded. 70 mph + speeds are much easier to reach now. It is still no turbo past 65, but much improved. It all feels like better midrange torque... also @ higher rpms in low ratio it starts pulling like it needs to get somewhere in a hurry, so I assume the h.p. increase claims are based on reality. I did not race some relatives xp1k and report about that. This was about improving on a pretty decent ride, and I give the BMP stage 1 tune a thumbs up. By the way this tune is now available for 450. Loaded on a dynajet cx tuner from BMP. Could not pass that deal up, and I'm glad I bought the tuner.
