I am adjusting valves on my 2016 xp 1000, can anyone help me with where to go from here? I have my clearances and current tappet numbers, now what? I converted my lowest ones to metric hoping to help me understand but Im stuck and it's really affecting my man hood!

If the valve clearance is too high, add the difference between the spec clearance ( middle of range ) to the number etched on the bucket, and then get the closest available shin to that number to replace it. If the clearance is too low, then subtract the difference from the number on the bucket.

What is the clearance spec for your machine?

RWB, that is part of the problem, one page says intake .006 for intake and .008 for exhaust. Two pages later, .006 intake and .012 for exhaust, all these specs are + or - .002 this is in the 14-15 service manual and I can not find a 2016 manual to check. Im thinking on getting intake to .008 and exhaust to .012.

although i do not have a 14 RZR, i do have the manual... i come up with 3 diff measurements...lol
IMO a "loose" valve (to an extent) is a happy valve.
