2020 HL RZR Caster Out of Whack

3 weekends ago I broke a left tie rod on the trail. Had to drive back like that basically dragging the front left tire. ( I was desperate and wasn't very far). The arms got bent, and frame tabs were slightly bent. Straightened all of it out and installed new arms, tie rods, axle, ball joints. I noticed now my Caster on the right side seems correct, around 3 degrees. but on the left its 1 degree the other way. the distance of the bottom arms is the same from a common point on the frame. the top arms is where I believe the issue is. The front left arm is 1/4 further forward than the the left, causing the caster to not match. Camber, toe, and wheelbase all match and are damn near perfect now its just the caster that's bothering me. I've taken a measuring tape to the frame for hours and cant find any discrepancies. The only only thing I've found is on the top left arm, the front pivot tube or block is closer to the frame than the right one is. I guess that little bit is making the ball joint be further forward. I honestly cant comment if it was like this from the factory because I didn't measure. Its like the left and right sides aren't symmetrical. Only noticeable to someone with OCD like myself.

You’re saying the front pivot block on the arm is closer to the frame when it’s in the mount, correct?

Could be from a wallowed out bolt hole or worn bushing if everything else measures out correctly

The issues could also be from a bent spindle , just enough to roll one of the ball joints fore/aft, but not bent in a manner that throws the camber off

That being said, it’s very possible it was built that way, it would not be the first time I’ve heard or symmetry issues on a RZR

Yes. The left pivot block is closer to the frame than the right one is. I’ve centered the front a arm mounting holes with the frame, as that piece is removable. I have portals, all that checks out. The hole looked good. yea I don’t know. I’m tempted not to worry about it. It rides fine. just wish I knew if it was like that from the get go or not.

Here’s what I was referring to, the left upper pivot block is/was closer to frame than the right side as you can kind of see in pics. this is after I fixed it best I could.

After looking it over I decided to remove the front arm tabs from the frame, drill the holes 1/16 bigger and slide over toward the left making the right arm come forward and the left arm go back just a hair. Their within 1/8 of each other now. bolted it back up and the arm bolts still went it with just a little love tap. this allowed me to get the caster within .1 degree of each other sitting at about 1.6-1.7 on each side. now camber is 89.7 and 89.8. Top of the wheel out, so when I get in with wife it goes to basically 90. All that’s left is toe and I’m within 1/8” on that already just eyeballing it. Wheelbase from left to right is 3/16” off. I think I’ll be ok?

I didn’t drill the hole on the actual a arm bolt tab. On the Rzr frame, my 2020 at least, the top front holes are actually on a removeable plate. It’s held on by 4 bolts plus its pinched between the bumper and the frame. I drilled out the 4 bolts that hold it to the frame and just slid it over. But yes, Once my holes in tabs get worn I will be replacing with the washers.
