If you can get a different part number for the early 09 S models, they have a different spring with more coils and have had no problems. This may be a less expensive fix and would be good if your dealer could order this spring, front or rear.

 

man that sucks. i know flash is right some of the older springs dont have this problem, and A LOT of the newer springs are having this same problem. your not the only one!

 

Outdrive, quite a few folks have changed stock springs to progressive, maybe one good person would let you have there used but good spring. Might be worth a post in the pay it forward section.

I take it MakinTrax sells the progressive springs? I'll probably look into it at some point, not ready to throw another 300 bucks at it this month. Although I'll buy one spring to keep from having to drop it off at the dealer. I'm not so sure they are going to cover it with the color change anyhow.

There has been a few posts about this ... Polaris had a bad batch of springs. If you want an upgrade ... talk with Steve at MakinTax! He has a better replacement spring!!

 

you shouldnt have to spend your own money because of polaris's mistakes.

 

The problem is you might have to wait for the springs.There must be alot of used ones out there since alot of people are putting on progressive springs.

Every time I've taken one of the Rzr's to the dealer it was a month stay minimum.

 

I'm really not that jumping guy. I don't want to break it or me. I was hauling ass on a fire road and caged it pretty good.

I'm sure we'll come out for the ride, I'll probably do the desert bar over Thanksgiving also. Are you going to be out then?

Perhaps swing by the dealer and they will order you new spring(s) and tell them you'll keep the Rzr until the springs come in and you will then make a service appointment.
