The poly is a nightmare with the dust,
Trust me...been there done that.

with the new lok n ride glass wind shield they go on and off in mins
so if you get too hot take it off,
plexy / plastic/lexon they are all junk!

 

Polaris glass windshield,
Love this thing.

 

I picked up the Poly flip down windshield last weekend.
No its not as good as a glass windshield as far as dust is concerned.
But it is a very nice piece. It has 3 positions. Closed , slightly open. And fully open. which is awesome. It's is a little pricey but the quality is there.

My biggest problem with glass windshield is. The possibilities of someone kicking up rocks and cracking the glass.

Glass only, free advertisement for Fred (801)380-1255. I have had mine for a week. Love it, flap for air and vacuum effect. Windshield wiper (actually pretty handy) ordered a second for my wife.

Another that wasted untold amounts of money on plastic and now switching to glass. Listen to the experience of the forum and do it right the first time.

I would really like a glass windshield but also want an aftermarket cage some day. Is it possible to use the Polaris windshield with other cages?

 

Had to dig for it. One of the mods seems to be following me around deleting my posts.

I am really looking for a half windshield for my 800S. Everything I have seen is polycarbonate. Does anyone make a glass half windshield?

My homemade fold down polycarbonate windshield is for use only on cold mornings and on asphault or hard packed didt roads. I coat it with Rainex and when I hinge it up for use I sprayt with lots of water, then glass cleaner, then a soft towel

 

Can you still use a side mirror with the glass windshield?

 

The one I have has no problem with a side mirror

 

Where can I get a glass windshield for a desert works cage?

 

you would have to have a frame made by a fabricator.

My glass is attached directly to the cage using the same adhesive used in automobile installations.

 

Just built this one for a friend

Cost 175 for the glass (eyebrowtint laminated) installed into the frame. I could have gotten regular clear laminated glass for 130. Total cost about 200
