Hey guys,,,

Just looking for opinions on this one. I am looking to add a winch to my RZR800 S. I am looking at a 4000lb or maybe a 4500lb to mount on a Wild Boar bumper...

Can you guys share some goods and bads of regular vs wide spool??

Not sure which way to go...

Thx...DMAN

Our widespool VIPER MAX and VIPER ELITE winches come with 65' of cable. That is a great feature of the wide versus the narrow.

It won't. You need a bumper that can handle it.

Actually Peter, it can fit! I got your 4000lb elite wide spool in board on my xp900 with the EMP mounting plate. It wasn't easy, but it's in there! :)

The wife and I are contemplating selling the Rzr herd we've amassed and getting one 4 seat 1000. It will have a bumper winch. Love my Viper Elite and it doesn't have anything to do with the winch itself, but it took me 5hrs and 200.00 in new tools to install LOL. At one point the neighborhood kids scattered after busted my knuckles and started cursing.

Next one will be a bumper mount wide spool Viper Elite.

Totally get it. The RZR install is among the most difficult.

Our EVOLUTION bumper coming out next month will be a slick install and will be one of the few (if not only) bumpers that can handle a 6000lb winch. Here is some further info if you are interested:

Thanks guys,,,

I appreciate the info. How big of a jump are we looking at in price on the wide spool? Would a 4000 be enough on an 800-S? I know a lot of people run 3500's on them, but I want a little "room", if you will...

Ranger -- This is actually going to be mounted on a bumper, so I think it should be OK.

MotoAlliance (Peter) -- Can you shoot me a quote on a Viper Max 4000 and 4500 for the wide spools? If it's not a problem, maybe prices for the regulars too? Synthetic rope going to 70726 zip code...

Thanks again....DMAN
