I'd definitely recommend buying a service manual. It will have all the wiring diagrams in it.

 

Factory service manual should be a must get when getting ANY new to you machine! Spend the $$$$! Several thousand dollars was spent and folks are looking for a freebie PDF because a factory manual costs maybe, a couple hundred bucks. Looks good on resale too. Buyer thinks you cared. Think of it as a must have accessory. JMHO

MFG has to create the service manual as part of dealer support. PDF costs zero to reproduce, and the bandwidth to support the downloads would amount to fractions of a penny. I don't mind paying for things I need, but come on, couple to a few hundred dollars for this?

 

Just picked up a R 4 on Saturday and ready to start with the lighting and a cage. Looking for or where to get just the wiring diagrams for this machine, looked on Polaris's site and couldn't seem to find them. If any has any suggestions or has them and wouldn't mind sending them to jdrautoworks@gmail.com that would be greatly appreciated.

You dont need a wiring diagram for lighting.

 

Got what I needed, was trying to figure out the turn signal input signal to the gauge cluster and the transmission gear selector switch for back up lights. Between the two plug and play harness they are over $400, I'll do a write up but this can be done for less than $100.

 

ya I did my own turn signal kit for around $60
