I've tried several different tie down set ups, I wanted something safe but quick and easy to hook up.

I've tried the chain set up buts it's a PIA and for se reason other tie downs I've tried loosen up on me while I drive.

I just got my speed straps in I like the set up hope this does the trick! I like how the lock onto my d rings and have extension straps to loop around my arms.

I bought the 30" axle strap from SpeedStrap to run around front frame in front of diff. I then use the 3 point SpeedStrap to tie front down (hook both d-rings from axle strap to one hook and other two ends to d-rings on trailer. On the back I run one SpeedStrap on each side to hitch. I'm more worried about RZR coming through back of suv if I'm in an accident so I run the two straps in the back for redundancy. Whereas the front strap is a basically to hold RZR in place when you accelerate.

Basically opposite of what you are doing with straps. I am looking to see if the HL front tow hook works with the RZR 900 4 Seater and if it does I'll use that up front and get rid of axle strap.

I bought the 1.5" SpeedStraps.

What is more stressful? The suspension cycling and building heat in the shocks, or pulling down the car from the frame and letting the trailer do the work?

My opinion is that the more the suspension moves the more wear you are putting on the car. Ball joints, shocks, bushings, tie rods....

At the end of the day it is really all about safety, and there is nothing unsafe about tire bonnets...

I have 2 tire chocks like these: https://www.denniskirk.com/pingel/permanent-mount-wheel-chock-wc65h.p514482.prd/514482.sku
bolted into the front floor of my enclosed trailer, then use a 2 ratchet straps from lower side bar near seats one on each side pulling it forward, and use 1 ratchet strap in the rear pulling it backwards.
Just drive my 570 into trailer until I bump the chocks, hook & tighten left strap, climb out and attach rear strap then tighten last strap which is easily reached from side door. Quick and easy.

I use a 3" heavy duty strap up front. Hooked to the frame under the diff and then to the trailer.
2x 2" ratchet straps on the rear hook
then the winch (snug) just for backup on the front

Tire bonnets on both trailers. If you notice how the long haul vehicle transport trucks tie their vehicles down, it is with tire bonnets. If you tie down the unsprung weight the vehicle can still move on its suspension the way it was built to and the tie downs do not come loose or break. If you think about it, when you hit a dip on the highway the suspension compresses and the tie downs go loose for a second or two, then they snap tight again. Occasionally the tie down will come loose from the vehicle because of the compression and now it is not tied down at all. the tire bonnets eliminate that movement and allows the suspension to move independently of the tires.

For the last few years I used four wide he straps. Not the 1" crap. I crossed them two front and two rear to lower crame. Then one 1" over the seat just in cast it decided to pop off...

The couple times I have trailered the RZR I have done same. It works fine. But now that it looks like my trailer wl be dedicated to RZR duty I'm looking at these bonnets. We bought a "system" for one guy I know and it works well enough. Captures both fronts and the rear goes into the receiver and cam locks down. Rides well and stays put.

After reading the story and seeing the pics of the truck and trailer overturned and the RZR still attached to the trailer via tire bonnets I scrapped all of my ratchet straps. I'm convinced that bonnets are the way to go.

Now if I can just find one of these over the rail truck racks and ditch my utility trailer I'd be in RZR ridin' heaven.

I use a ratchet strap doubled back through the strap then wrap it around the wheel and strap it down. wheel bonnets work the best but kinda pricey whatever you do don't strap to frame or body busted many straps that way when I hit a bump doesn't take much. if you hook it through the wheel car bounces all over and wheels stay on trailer. sorry car is in garage so I can't show pic's on trailer.

HNBSA:

I dont like how your front straps are rubbing on the trailer frame.

Also I would use 2 straps on the rear. Coming to a quick stop is a much bigger problem than taking off to fast.

Thats a lot of money on that trailer, and the truck pulling it; dont go cheap on straps.

To keep my rachet/bonnet strap on the outside of my trailer frame rail and keep from the edge eventually cutting through, I took a piece of black 2' PVC, cut it long ways and forced the cut opening over the top frame rail, then used big zip ties to help hold them in place. Now my straps can be snugged down and roll smoothly over the pvc with no edge to worry with..i can also get plenty of racheting force being its on the outside with the front tires of the RZR being up against the very front rail.
