if we are taking stock vs stock, no mods what so ever, stock tires, stock engine, stock clutch setup, straight from show room floor.... acceleration only...

commander.... no replacement for displacement... acceleration only
 
It's already been established that the RZR has the same or LESS clearance with two people in it.

As far as all the speculating on what's faster, stock for stock the Can Am will beat down an RZR. If you see an RZR beat a Commander, it's either modified, the Can Am had a problem, or it was a miracle (yes I've heard of Flashgordon's)

I thought that had to be the most fair video yet. I was surprised the 800 did so well, That engine (for only being 40cc more? IDK the actual #s) sure has a lot more pull. Cool lesson. I'll keep working on mine though, I love the RZR
 
its apples vs oranges. 800 cc utvs and below rzr wins hands down. your big bore utv, can am wins.

On hard packed the cowmander would have a better chance but in soft sand they dont do as well
That wasn't hard pack, you can see at the beginning when they launch.

Of course Can-Ams video is gonna make the rzr look stupid.
It was already stated that the video and results were not doctored in any way, the driver of the Can Am is one of ours....

As for video proof of Flash's RZR, we've all heard a lot of talk.....but nothing else.
 
what about the Buckshot Bullet? Is that considered a stock SxS? or is Buckshot too small a company to be in the comparison?
If you count the Bullet, it should decimate everything out there.
It's interesting that most people want the performance numbers and feel of a bullet, but instead of just throwing down the 25k, they'll put 30k in every other type of SXS to go half as fast...I guess it doesn't seem as much when you spend it in smaller chunks?
 
Stock Commander 1000 will beat a stock RZR in a drag race, in the sand or on hard pack. Don't know why that's such a hard thing to get over? It's just got a much more powerful engine in stock trim. Hopefully they sent Polaris back to the drawing board and we'll see a 1100 RZR S sometime soon.

My sentiments exactly, only I don't think Polaris will answer the Can Am with anything. They're in it for the money, not the bragging rights, they know people will continue to buy the RZR with or without a big motor because in the grand scheme of things, the "bigger motor clan" is less than 1% of the market share.

Dont be so quick to judge. Weight comes alot to play in the sand regarding takeoff. If this is a long drag race...yes the commander will catch up eventually but 1/4 mile or 1/8 its close. I want to see Flash race a commander with Paddles. Will that start to convince people. I have no doubt on hard pack the commander will beat a stock rzr. A 951CC rzr will smoke a commander. Heck even if they put their 850 in there it would prob be right there.
