Thanks guys. Do you know if the mounting locations change from this first gen to the newer ones? If it is 95% the same I don’t mind grinding away some metal or adding some metal to make a cage for a modern one fit. It would be nice if the main attachment points were close though. Spend the 2k you would on buying a cage and buy a tubing bender, die and borrow a welding machine

 

I wish I did that. 😪 I could have made money with it. The only problem was at the time it was going to be almost $3500 for the tube bender plus the materials. I would have blown my budget out of the water. In long run I could have made money with the investment.

 

CageWRX used to sell a cage kit for the XP900. It’s worth a phone call to ask if they can make one up for you

I have a tube bender and welder, just no time. The cagewrx kit is only $799 not 2k.

 

Well I have a Cagewrx cage on my machine. By the time I got it in my hands after exchange rate, taxes, duty fees, brokerage fees, import fees, delivery fees. it was pretty close to 2 g's. I should have put that money towards a tube bender. If you already have all the equipment I would just make it yourself. Or spend the money and order one. Or pay a local guy to do it for you. If you do order one from the states make sure you don't use UPS FOR SHIPPING THEY ARE THE MOST EXSPENCIVE. Your choice. Good luck. Cheers 🍻

I did also buy their spear tire rack. Great company to deal with. Just didn't like the shipping options at the time.

 

I searched and searched and finally found a guy that would do one for me. He "thought" he wanted to get into building them for a living. Took him several months longer than it should have, but the price was pretty good. He returned to his previous job once he finished it....
