what exactly is different between the High Lifter and a xp 1000 turbo.

basically I want the Highlifter with a turbo...Polaris doesn't make it, so I'm thinking about buying the XP Turbo EPS and adding all of the highlifter accessories, but I'm not 100% sure exactly what is different between the 2 machines.

from what I understand the XP turbo does not have a reverse chain so I'm good there.

is the differences between the 2 machines the bumper, winch, tires, forward control arms and snorkel? does anyone make a gear reduction kit for the XP turbo?

The engine, trans, differentials, cooling system, & complete suspension is different. Basically the only thing that is the same is the frame and body panels.

All depends on what you want to do with it. The XPT has a more HD drivetrain to handle the additional power. The XPT also has a better suspension system than the HL. The HL comes with high clearance suspension & gearing designed for mud. Both good machines but both have very different setups and purposes from the factory.

And yes there are gear reductions available for the XPT.

The HL has:

29.5 Outlaw 2 tires
55% lower gearing in low
arched a arms and radius bars
bumper
winch
snorkels
different shocks
reverse chain
mirror
probably more that I cant remember

The HL edition is made for mud and deep water, while the non HL is made for more general purpose riding. Yes there are companies that make gear reductions for the non HL editions, as many have posted on here.

as for being built for mud and deep water, is the wiring harnesses built with the same style connections etc that would make it more durable than the turbo version?

I can add aftermarket snorkels to a turbo rzr and seal the belt box. on the surface it seems like I could have the same performing machine with 60+ more HP. I wasn't sure if the highlifter came with bigger differentials/axles/bearings/driveshaft or any other major differences.

I have a full SATV rzr-s conversion on my 2012 800 50" that I installed the day of purchasing the machine. the SATV ball joints sucked, but the control arms have been excellent. did they lose some quality over the years? also, their rhino axles have worked good for me as long as I keep up with the torn boots.

I just bought a 2018 xp4 turbo fox edition and turning it out for mud but also trying to keep it to where I can get speed on the high paced trails. I went out this past weekend and did some mud riding on 29.5 assassinators. I dont have my snorkel or anything else yet, just the tires and rims i bought. I was extremely happy with how well it did. Got into a hole and the water came up over the hood at one point. No water entered the belt compartment surprisingly. Only thing happened is I railed a jump and my cooler strap came loose (lost a few brews out the back), and hooked my o2 sensor wire and killed it. That is easy replacement. Matter of fact all of my buddies were amazed how I could go into muck, get out without any issues and then hit the trail and bust 60mph on SATV assassinators. They were asking me to take them for a ride after roosting them half to death lol.

The list of parts I have coming in Friday are:

SATV high clearance A-arms
SATV high clearance Boxed Rear Radius rods
SATV Rhino 2.0 axles front and rears
Turbo Snorkel kit
Evolution Powersports Stage 3 performance kit with captains choice Exhaust
Evolution Powersports stage 3 clutch kit for trail and mud riding
Evolution Powersports Diverter blowoff Valve, vents to intake snorkel to seal off from water
Evolution Powersports Stage 3 maptuner X Tune
STI Outback maxx tires 32x10x14" all 4 (already have the STI HD8 in gloss black and smoke gray rims 5+2 offset)
KFI stealth 5klb winch
SATV 3" bracket lift kit

Still to come...

AudioFormz stage 5 top
lower door panels
PRP seats
Pro Armor harnesses for all 4 and the seatbelt block off
Full LED rock lights RGB
Venom LED Whips
Heretic LED Headlights
Heretic LED Tail Lights
Rigid Midnight series 30" LED Bar and mounts
Quick disconnect steering wheel
Assault Industries Mirrors
I am sure there will be more as time progresses

I will post a picture if you want after the weekend. I am starting to install everything after work on Friday..

Guess you got butt hurt? And I personally could care less what you think of my comments. SATV 's quality is still poor using CHEAP Chinese hardware. Fact: Their hiem joints and hardware are pure junk. I've bought thousands of $$ of their stuff over the years and none held up for very long.

Obviously you've never seen SCM products because comparing them to SATV is like comparing a Porsche to a VW Bug. The only thing good about SATV has been their service.

You are welcome to your opinion and I to mine. Sorry but I call it like it is and their quality is still poor.

Frank only reason you "liked" his comment is because they are a sponsor.

Bet this goes away quick LMAO

Lol, i took no offense. Hell, i agree. In my experience, i avoid their bearings, ball joints and ive seen negative reviews for their shocks and winches. I was excited tk see that they have a new HD ball joint until one of our riding partners seperated one in the first few miles. He drives like a grandpa, but he is also on 38". Tires with lift and portals. I have had great success with lifts, control arms, roof axles and the nylon overhead storage bag.

I'm watching the satv portals to see how they hold up. It might be my next satv purchase.
