A winch is an insurance policy. How much is being able to return home and now walk worth?

 

I learn the lesson of not having one years ago, I would never have a machine without one being installed, I’ve just always used Polaris branded.

Viper winches are great. Polaris brand is overpriced, but easy install.

 

Viper Winches are great, SuperATV BlackOps is another great option.

Unless they have changed the mounting bracket from when I bought it you will have to cut the bracket to make it fit on the pro xp. Also when I got it I needed to cut about 5 feet of rope off for it to fit.

 

Went with the Black Ops 6000lb for my PXP4. Zero issue with fitment and install was easy even for me which says a lot. I looked at Viper as well and think I just flipped a coin.

I have the V2 winch. It is a great winch with the following cons. It is larger than other widespool winches and made it impossible to mount the lower valance to the original brackets (when mounted in the typical hidden location). Also, when mounted in this position the forward facing terminal is on the lower front and prone to damage. To avoid this you can clock the winch case, however, it is not symetrical and will not match up when clocked 90 degrees. To deal with these issues I went with an HMF front bumper that mounts the winch on top.
