Please only post news and/or updates on the recall here... I.E. communication from Polaris or dealer updates and info.:eek:k:

Please no personal stuff about you....I.E. how many RZRs you have bought, how much you have spent on RZRs, how much you have spent upgrading RZRs, how much your payments are, where you go on vacation, how mechanically inclined your are, what your collage degree is, how Polaris is doomed, why you are going to buy a CAN AM, and how great a deal you can get on a turbo YOU CANT BUY :rofl3:......

I hope to hear something soon.
I have bought several RZR's and spent thousands over the year.
I cant believe how this issue is being handled.
Did I mention, I have spent thousands over the years on RZR's.

Update, I heard Polaris has fixed the problem and the cure is to purchase a 2017.

Did I mention I have owned sever RZR's over the years and spent thousands with Polaris...

There is a recall?..... After a million miles and all the R&D and extensive testing shown in the press release...... and with all those other brands continually in the news and the dunes catching fire? I just wouldn't expect such a thing from such a quality machine assembled in Mexico. Also what is this Can Am everyone speaks of? There must be a mix up!

From Polaris:

I have received request for a warranty extension for your RZR-16 Turbo. I would like to extend your MANUFACTURE warranty for an additional 3 months. The current end date for your manufacture warranty is 9-25-2016. This would extend your manufacture warranty out until 12-25-2016. Please reply to my email if you would like for me extend your warranty to the date above.

This was from reaching out to Polaris via facebook. It's something and gives me a little piece of mind while the RZR sits...

Met the Manitoba rep. He know nothing. That he would tell me. Me noted numerous times that there is a fix. But not when that will be done.

Don't complain. You should be happy Polaris did not meet the day they told people they would have a fix. Would hate to see this post closed over honest feedback.

I agree. I could understand closing if the thread became vulgar and out of control - but if people want to express themselves about the product they bought, and do so in a respectable manner - I see no issue. Too much aggravation and negativity from way to many people? Blame Polaris, not us. They want to beat a dead horse, let them - they spent 20 thousand dollars to have an opinion about it. Don't like it, then don't open the thread.

Not my forum, not my rules. On to the next :)

2016 RZR XP Turbo /XP4 Turbo models were manufactured with the following concerns:

1. turbo charger oil drain fastener may loosen allowing a release of engine oil regardless of z-15-04 being completed or not.

2. ECU engine control unit may allow the engine to continue to run in an extreme overheat condition which could result in damage to the cylinder head or cylinder head gasket allowing a release of engine oil or coolant which may pose a fire hazard.

This bulletin also instructs dealers to inspect heat shields, replace heat shield fasteners, and update a fuel warning decal. Additionally, the revised calibration includes misfire detection that will prevent the engine from operating in a misfire condition.

RZR Customers,

I have two pieces of RZR recall news to share with you today.

First, for Turbo owners, as you know, in late July we asked you to stop riding your RZR Turbo vehicles because of potential issues. Since then, we have been doing intensive testing to make sure we have the right solution, and as of today the corrective action is in place. Owners of model-year 2016 RZR Turbo vehicles can now contact their dealer to arrange for service.

Second, to every RZR owner impacted by our recalls, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of having to bring your vehicle in for repair, as well as any lost riding time. While we cannot return your lost time, we will be sending you a letter extending a small token of our appreciation.

All 2016 Turbo owners will receive an additional 12 months of warranty. All owners of recalled RZR 900 or 1000 vehicles will receive either a 12-month warranty extension for vehicles that were in warranty at the time of the recall, or a $250 voucher for accessories for vehicles that were out of warranty. Both of these offers become valid if you have the required recall work completed before the end of 2016.

In addition, we are extending a $1,000 loyalty discount on the purchase of any Polaris side-by-side between now and the end of 2017. This discount is in addition to all other promotions, so significant savings are possible. You will receive detailed information in the mail by mid-September.

Your safety is our number-one priority, so please have the recall work completed as soon as possible, and do not ride your RZR until you do so.

On behalf of the entire Polaris family, I want to extend my sincere apologies and assure you that Polaris, and your RZRs, will be much better going forward.
