The trailing arm has holes in the bottom and top. It's not welded solid so that also allows dirt and debris to sneak in as well. The grass is from seed fell in as I rode thru the prairie where I live. The dirt from riding, the grass seed, and then water from my washing it allowed the grass to grow

I'd suspect the other side is full dirt too? That's probably a lot of unsprung weight. Are the holes big enough to flush it out?

Once you clean out the debris and weld back together, are you able to somehow seal the holes up? I would think that mud and water packed in there would eventually cause them to rust from the inside out. I never really looked closely at mine, pulled them off when brand new and replaced with super atv high clearance arms.

Great Stuff makes a spray foam (Pond and Stone) that's black and durable in wet locations.

Think you are missing out a million dollar idea. If grass can grow, other plants should too.
