I have had the swaybar off on 2 different machines with both stock and aftermarket springs, lift kits and I carry a Huge box with a ton of stuff in it so I am a lot heavier than most people when I ride. Yes its true you do get side sway with the swaybars off, but for the trail/rock riding I do it really suits me well. You don't get the side to side jerking of your head going over rocks and ruts like you do with the bars on. As stated by many others, Try it ! you may like it for your riding, you may decide to put a heavier one on. It needs to be tried to see what the advantages/disadvantages are for you. In 6 years and about 6000 total miles I personally Love not having the swaybar.

I started with a 2008 50" stock, took the bar off, went through 3 sets of stock springs and shocks, added a 2" lift and bigger tires then went to aftermarket springs..2 different kinds... I bought the 2015 900S and removed the bar immediately and then went with the Shock Therapy heavy dual rate with crossover rings. Anyone who rides with me knows I don't baby around on the trail or rocks. The ride for me is smoother and I personally Love it.

You decide for yourself. here are my 2 rzrs I ran like this. The 800 shows the 2 different sets of aftermarket springs and the 900s has the shock therapy setup.

old thread but Im bringing it back, Has anyone removed the rear sway bar on thier 900S with Bandit spring kit?? The bandit spring kit made a world of difference in my ride but I am looking for an even better ride and considering doing this....

With my 189 lb/in front rate and 197 lb/in rear rate, it was way too much body roll riding aggressive 40-60 mph trails. Like one rear wheel off the ground in corners tippy. Huge difference hooking it back up and neither of us noticed any difference in ride on those types of trails. I can't imagine even getting it to ride better than it does. I have local trails that are hours of 5-10 mph rocky power lines and I'll definitely take it off for those. Luckily it's a quick disconnect setup.

I don't know what the combined rates of other spring vendor setups are, but I can't imagine they're substantially stiffer than mine. I suspect the people who really like no sway bar enjoy the scenery a little more.

Removing the sway bar on my S made it a lot better. So much so, that I left it off.

It is fairly easy to disconnect one side and try it out. I do mainly trails, this is where you'll notice the improvement. I had after market springs and they responded well to the extra sway during higher speed cornering, enough that I felt comfortable leaving it off.

If you like speed and drifting, then removing the sway bar is a bad idea. If you run slower trails and only moderate play on the roads, then removing the sway bar may be something for you.

I did a write up on my sway bar experience:

All I know is that I removed the rear sway bar from my '16 Ranger 570 XP FS, and on the roads at anything more than ~20mph or so, the curves are downright scary. This machine feels very tippy now. It's going back on. I'm not even going to try it on my 900S. It is what it is.
