Just installed Super ATV A Arms with 1.5" forward offset. I am also going to put on bigger tires and wheels. 30x10-14 on a 7" wide rim. I believe the stock offset for my rig on a 7" rim is 5-2. I was wondering if I went with a 4-3 offset if that would eliminate the need for the steering stops. I know this will add 2" to the overall width of my rig. 2017 S1000

Was wondering if you guys had problem with axles not running the stops, I got my a arms and stops installed and I’d love to get back the sharp steering I use to have, super atv I think said they were more for not putting as mush stress on the axles?

Officially... :wink ...i have to say they are required. They prevent you from over-steering with the forward offset and putting stress on your axles and possibly putting them in a bind. They also help protect your boots from getting pinched in a funky full turn/drop situation.

But...you can get away without them just fine. If you're running a lift and the arms, I'd say to keep them on just in case, especially if you're a mud guy. But if you're not running a lift...you'll be totally fine. Just be aware of your axle angles in extreme full turn/drop/compression situations.

We include them and "require" them to cover our butt, just in case you start pinching your boots or binding up axles. It seems to happen more often with lifted rigs in the mud.

Im running tusk 5+2 14" with 29x9x14 on stock a arms with no rub on a rzr900s. I am going to upgrade my a arms, would like the offset incase i want to go to 30s down the road but dont wan to loose my turning. Could i get away with put the stops and upgrade the axles to stop the binding/pinching problem?
