I installed the ssv 6 speaker set up and glove box sub with the volume knob for the sub and yet the sub fills in the sound it just dont bump at all. I researched between the glove and the behind the seat and everyone says the glove box bumps better. The only way to hear it is to turn the system WAY up to where it is unbarable in the cab from the top speakers.. Have I got something not adjusted right? Even country music dont have the low end bass to it and I can forget rap . How is everyone elses sound?

Did you buy the plug and play with the amp that comes installed already. Mine jams but I have the kicker with jl audio mono block pushing 500 watts to it. Pretty impressive for such a small space

Yeah, Ask the guys at SSV. Their customer service is excellent.

I have the glove box sub with 4 pod speakers. The glove box sub thumps a lot. Needed to put barriers between the plastic body pieces on the rzr so it wouldn't vibrate so much.

I don't have powered sub, its all running off 1 amp.

Yea I did but it makes the 6 1/2's have a dead flat thump but not bassy thump and the overall music don't sound good.

Well hell, just to Scott there and he said I could try taking that amp out and turning it up alittle. With out taking the machine apart best I remember the amp is on the far right side so its not coming out with out removing the sub box. DANGIT

Ever get this rectified? I'm a basshead but set my expectations low being it's such a low internal volume box... but the RF sub I have in my daily driver is a 10 with a small box about the same internal volume and it hits the loooooow subbass effortlessly with only 150 watts rms. Surprisingly well. Of course that's in an enclosed space. Still, I had hoped it would sound better.

It definitely sounds better with the powered ssv sub than without, but just ... sorta sounds like a 10" woofer in too small an enclosure. Not sure how to feel after reading the rave reviews and keeping my expectations low. Please update this thread with your findings, though this was 2 years ago.
