Does it display the selected gear? Maybe check the gear select sensor.

No check engine lights? Or loss of power steering? My xp has done it several times. I put it in low and drive it over 4,000 rpms for 30 seconds and it resets.

 

Yes,check engine light and power steering light but power steering works,shows code 84

 

Put it in low drive over 4,000 rpms for 15-30 seconds. It will reset, mine has done it 2-3 times in 2,500 miles. All the times i was driving really slow and pulling something.

 

Drove it for a couple miles at 5000+ rpm, no effect on engine light or speedo.

Did you do any work before it started messing up? Did you replace with OEM sensor? Does your break lights function fine? Sometimes it can be that sensor and it sounded fairly common.

I had the same issue but after a transmission swap, but SATV shipped another and that fixed it for me.

 

I swapped the Trans with a GDP 12.5% lower unit from Super atv about 3000 mi ago. The new sensor is a polaris part,$125 !!, after I swapped it no difference,so took it to dealer and they just hooked it to their scan tool and reset and voila! fixed. Go figure.......

Right? I can deal with the mechanical stuff but ecm and electronic weirdness not so much, forces you to see dealer ......
