How many of you plow snow with your rzr? i just got a rzr4 800 and normally i just plow with a truck from work but im pretty sure its getting ready to break in half(90's chevy)soon. what brands of plows work well? i do have a winch already. Does it put alot of stress on the drivetrain?

I plow with my rzr S with no issues (drivetrain that is). Have two parking areas (upper / lower) + 100' long driveway and once I get a small path in the deeper snow it's good to go. Last big storm we had last year had approx. 17" of wet snow and the plow put a 3.5' drift across driveway, which I was able to get through. For me I just picked a never been used setup on craigslist (plow, mount and quick attach frame for $600). Have to double check but believe it's a Glacier II, or III? Only problem / minor issue I had was my winch rope didn't like plowing and showing signs of wear (even using a winch roller fairlead setup).

I have a 2012 rzr4 800 with a cycle country quick connect system- the razor works very well plowing snow,I have a 1/4 mile driveway that I can plow with no problem, the only problem I did have was I bent the push tubes on the frame pushing wet/heavy snow but cycle country warrantied the part with no ?.i would recommend a light bar- due to the plow is in the way of the factory lights so it's a little dim at night to see-I also have a 2 inch lift & the preload on the springs turned up

We've designed and sell our DENALI plow systems -- ranging from $540-$800 fully complete and shipped. The RZR is either our best selling model (or second behind Rangers). We are selling between 5 and 20 plow systems a day at the moment across ATV's and UTV's.

We also have our VIPER winches with plow straps designed just for plowing. Won't hijack the thread more than this, but everything is 15% through Monday and I can post more details if you'd like. Here's a video that does some introduction to our DENALI Pro System.

Thanks!

I have the Denali pro series. The quality is way above what I thought. These guys have done there R&D. I am more than pleased with my purchase and don't think there is anything better out there. Warranty is the best in the industry too. I have a huge driveway and parking area. It takes about 45 mins to plow. Love it!

I have 375' of driveway, plus I usually plow out the neighbor, and then if i'm not tired of playing in the snow, I'll plow the road too. All in my "little" 570. It handles it with no fuss. My factory belt is still in great shape after almost 3300 KM's and the rest of the RZR is showing no signs of getting tired of it. It used to take me over an hour to do my driveway plus the parking area for the cars and truck with a walk behind snow blower. With the RZR I can now do that part in less than 20 minutes including warm up time

I've got a 72" Eagle plow on my 800. It handles this blade width well and can push an amazing amount of snow. I think that summer mud holes would be much more load on your drive train because, in winter, you just don't have the same amount of grip on any surface. I'm on my original belt from 2011.

I can recommend the 72" blade width, especially if you're plowing around curves like I do clearing off a skating pond. I cannot recommend the Eagle plow however as it has "uncurled" quite a bit at both ends (the wear bar is visibly pushed back >1" at both ends with respect to the center of the blade). This is not from hitting curbs or manhole covers, just from "normal" use. Granted, as the winter progresses the old windrows at the edge of the pond or driveway, where the blade tips hit, get pretty hard... but that's what a snowplow should be made to handle. With less cantilevered length, a 66" or 60" blade would be stiffer and less likely to deform.

I have an Eagle 66" on it's 4th winter. I plow my entire road (almost 1/2 mile) and all of my neighbors. No issues with the plow or my RZR.

In terms of stress on the rig, its how you work it. I plowed my driveway for 8 years with my prairie and 60" warn. At 3000 miles I just replaced the belt proactively. I think a rzr would be clumsy for plowing and visibility would be poor especially when working next to objects.

Nothing clumsy about the RZR for plowing snow. Mine doesn't have power steering, and in spite of this it's still quite easy to maneuver quickly in tight places. I bought the Polaris shifter knob (P/N 2877874) that has the winch control switch built in. A must have for anyone with a plow. One hand on the wheel, the other for shifting and controlling your plow. It is a system that is very easy and comfortable to use.

As far as visibility goes I don't have any issues. Your plow should come with the markers that install on each end of the blade. Install them. You'll easily be able to see exactly where the ends of your plow are, even the passenger side. When plowing, I can easily clean within just a few inches of the sides of where the car and truck are parked.

My 11-S-LE with the glacier II systems plows very good. Used it a couple winters here in NY on my 4000' square foot driveway and some near by family's driveways and it works for me
