I'm currently running a skull flag with the inscription "Time flies when you're drinkin rum".
Good one DDS.....Can't believe the number of flag flyers. Again, it would be ripped clean off my rig within minutes. We don't ride in crowds either. Maybe see 8 quads, three dirt bikes, two Rangers and maybe one RZR on a 50 mile ride on Sunday. I'd figure out a way to fly DDS' flag if I found one.

There are some places we ride that you can't run a flag, but here in the desert there's not many trees just a lot of bushes!:):)

I've run 2 of those flags on my RZR for the last couple of rides. I did it for a few reasons. I bought the flags at a local flea market and were real cheap. The other flags they had there were all tribal looking and gay. I bought some American flags to fly recently but haven't yet because I don't want anyone to give me a lecture on the "proper" way of displaying them. IMO as long as I am proud enough of an American and care enough to fly the flag, I should be able to do so without all the BS. So, there's your answer. You know what, the Stars & Stripes will be flyin' soon my friends, lecture or no lecture from the flag police!

Speaking with pretty darn good general knowledge on the U.S. Code, That governs the U.S. Flag......Also with the added background of serving my Country and being inducted into the " SSG. Audie Murphy Club"
You generally see 3 types....

#1 The Proud American who will Show the colors off in any way or manor they can!
#2 those "wonderful" people who exercise their "rights" that burn and desecrate the Flag.
#3 The Occasional "know it all" over the top, tightwad who can recite the entire Code and doesn't believe it should be changed in any way.

Personally, I am #1, #2 can go to Hell, and #3..They just need to relax.. Because if we went "strictly" by the code..there would be no Flags on ANY cars (except presidential), no shirts, hanging of homes, In stores on display, well really other than on a pole, even the little one is "allowed" but unless you're going to retire even that flag Per the code it would also make it impossible...

All I'm saying is that if you read the "Code" and lived by it, we would rarely see our beautiful Flag.... Even the Armed forces have relaxed about the "Code" since 9/11...

To end this.. I personally don't care if it's on a shirt, a Bandana, or a freakin' Bikini..I don't give a flyin F~ on who try's telling me how I can or cannot fly the Flag... It will be Flown!

And Pirates Rock!!

Well said.
Unfortunately round here, I see many Mexican flags flying solo or above the American flag. Very sad.
I would never do that in any country I visit or live.
Absolutely no respect.

As for the pirate flag...I prefer the Smiley face flag because that is what I am doing when I'm tearing it up in my "S". :)

My bud ran a 3x5 "surrender your booty" pirate flag...took it off and threw it in the fire when we laughed and told him he had to bend over first.

I am also a #1 kind of guy. I've been lectured by the #3 guys before and respect them alot, but you're right, have a beer and relax #3. #2 guys... well they are #2's for a reason. They are steaming piles of donkey excrement!

Sorry it took me so long to get this posted--Dad's in the hospital. Anyway, as far as ripping off a flag on the trails, this one has been thru hell. I'm in Arkansas, and we mostly ride wooded trails. If I'm runnin', the rum flag's flyin'! I almost forgot it one ride, and someone in the group made me go back and get it! I took a regular whip and cut it off just above the roof. It was white and I wanted black, so I wrapped it with electrical tape. Mounted it on the bed with a quick lock whip mount, and tied it about halfway up the whip to the roll cage. I haven't lost it yet.......

As far as where I got it, I think I got it on a trip to Aruba....or maybe Jamaica.....but I think Aruba. I'm going back in March, and I'll look for some more. ROADTRIP!!!!!! Who's in???

I havn't had my flags riped by trees on the trails yet. Like I mentioned before. My Jolly Roger flags arn't stuck out like that anymore. That photo was taken when I first got them and didn't know where to mount them.
