So the seal is not what's leaking the O ring that sits down in their on the shaft that you can't see wore a groove on the inside of the cover I've replaced 3 of these so you need to replace the whole cover their about a 100 bucks

Thanks! Does the cover just come off over that shaft or do you need to pull the shaft out, and what is that cover called? Do you happen to have a link to where you bought yours?

So you want to take the cover off but leave the shaft in place as your prying the cover off the shaft wants to come with it make sure you tap gently the tip of the threaded shaft make sure it stays in as you pull the cover off here's a pic of what you need number 42 ....Rocky Mountain ATV has it.

Once you have the cover off, do you remove the shaft to replace the O-ring or do you just replace the entire shaft?
