Schaeffer Lubricants

Lets face it the most important thing about owning a Rzr is the maintenance end. Polaris has built a nice machine but did not use heavy duty parts on most of it. I've looked through all of the different cross reference threads on oils and lubes and saw some pretty hard lined supporters of the usual high grade lubes. I was researching a product called Motorkote as an additive the other day and stumbled onto a company called Schaeffer Oil. They have a few products I thought were interesting and wanted to see if anyone on here has any experience with the products. The trucker forums all gave the products high marks:

Schaeffer Supreme 9000 5w-50 racing oil
Schaeffer #315 Simplex Supreme Transmission/Hydraulic oil

It looks like they have some good additives in them from the factory that may extend the life of the motor, tranny and front diff. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have been using it in my 900s. Get it for 9$ a quart really like it.
Even at that price what is so special? I know someone said they are nice people? Are they that nice? I buy oil to protect my engine so again what is so special and maybe some data to prove it? This is reverse of most passionate oil threads on here saying cheaper oil is better than Polaris oil. Anyone have data to eliminate the BS? Not trying to be a jerk just trying to sort the facts in case there is some miracle I haven't heard of. :eek:k:
Schaeffer Lubricants are specifically blended to not break down in high heat. Most of the dirt circle track racers use it as well.

Ok so we pay through the nose for common 5w-50 with the nice polaris label. Or you use Mobil 1 or some other synthetic, also $6 or more a quart. Or you can consider the cost on this and do the research. I believe it is a real synthetic with additives that actually do protect the engine and metal on metal parts. Following link is to an independent lab sample out of a quad. Breakdown says it all. This isn't the only lab sample out there on this oil in quads, semis and other vehicles if one cares to look. I'm switching. Their grease is extreme duty as well.

You need to find a distributor in your area. I bought a case of 12, ended up costing $7.50 per quart.
Great, so why is it better than $6 per quart Polaris factory recommended oil? Just trying to get to the bottom of why factory recommended oil is not as good. I want the best stuff for my RZR but I don't buy opinions, just facts and data...
I just looked online and the cheapest I found Polaris oil for a quart was $11 and the best for a gallon was 41. Then it was plus shipping.

Psheadl you are starting to sound like a broken record. I gave a link that states why it is better earlier in the thread. Since you don't want to look it up yourself I'll break it down Barney Style for you. Schaeffer is a super high quality oil with the highest additive pack in the industry, especially in the zinc and moly. I just threw the thread out there to see what others thought and it confirmed what I already was thinking about doing. I have a $14000 machine that I would like to last for a long time and I would rather spend my money on upgrades than rebuilding a damaged motor or tranny from early wear out. I'm willing to shell out the extra $1.00 over other high quality oils. If you think the benefit isn't worth the squeeze so be it. I've known people who were willing to fill their car up with oil every time they stopped for gas because it leaked so bad. To each his own.
