Not checking out until Wednesday. We're going to head up to Beaver after that and spend a few days on the Paiute trail before heading home.

I'm just going to put this here.
We were sitting around the campfire about an hour ago and began hearing a call in the distance for help. We grabbed the spotlight and pointed it across the road towards the beach. A guy was waving his arms saying that his family was stuck down behind the trees. We took my father in laws Wolverine X4 down to see if we could help
They had not one but two front wheel drive cars buried to the frames.
Long story short, we were able to get one car out but couldn't budge the other. That's when the reinforcements showed up. Casey's Off Road Towing to the rescue!
It's not to often that you can get a selfie with a towing YouTube celebrity!

 

 

Sand Hollow is awesome, we'll be there next month for the UTV Takeover event 👍

 

You’ll have to tell us how you like it. We did the utv takeover at little Sahara Oklahoma earlier this month. Had a great time but my wife doesn’t like dunes. We are thinking of doing sand hollow next year.

 

We went last year and had a blast and I anticipate this year will be much larger. I'm not much for dunes so we stuck to the rocks. SH is unrivaled when it comes to rock crawling trails.

 

Just got back from The Hobbit House here at Sand Hollow. How long has it been since some asshat destroyed it. To say I'm pissed is an understatement

Unfortunately we didn't meet up with anyone from the forums, but had another great time at Sand Hollow. If you haven't been, I highly recommend a visit. This is not the "sand dunes" but does have a small dune bed surrounded by some of the most incredible trails and sights I've seen.
We moved up to the 15 to Beaver Utah now and will spend the next couple of days exploring the south section of the Paiute trail. Beaver KOA site 1, once again if you're in the area over the next few days feel free to stop by.

 

Sand Hollow looks like some great riding and not excessively too far from me. I might have to plan a trip.

 

I love Sand Hollow. We will be there for UTV Takeover.

 

What's the weather like in early summer? My wife is a teacher so we can only really get away in June for any kind if significant trip. Might do the AZ Peace trail next year as well

 

If you're going to do the Peace Trail in June, be prepared for the heat. Probably 1/2 of the trip will have 100° + temps

 

Yeah, I'm aware, was wondering about Sand Hollow. I know it's near St. George in that can get hot but wasn't sure about mid June. As for the Peace Trail, probably the week of Thanksgiving.

 

We were last June and it was 105

 

June may chronologically early Summer but in the SW, that's solidly in the hot months. It can easily get into the 100s and most likely won't get any cooler than the 90s.
