From what I hear its not worth the drive. Some of the locals (within an hour or less) say you can cover it in about an Hr. Good for a Quick sand fix but not worth the Diesel to get there.:sad:

 

Been there couple hundred times since the 70's. Was good back then, now only good to get out of the heat here in Redding. Only about 2 miles of beach to run, some fun (short) trails. From Redding it' a 3+ hour drive on SR299..........Have fun

He is right. Great place to escape the valley heat. Small sand hill area area but the beach is flat and you can run full out... Great food at the Samoa Cook House. Mick in Chico, CA

 

My thinking , due to the current temp. here in the valley with no help in the immediate future, why not? There is a boat ramp/camp area at the end of Samoa where you can ride out of camp to the sand/beach. If you pass the Coast guard Station there are places to pull over and unload, this (was) a no fee area, but no overnite camping............hope this helps......

 

Been there too. Not a bad get away for half a day.

Are you talking about Stonyford? If so then Yes..Been there several times on my old Trikes. Never with the RZR though...
