well honestly yes you do hear alot of negative things on this forum, but it also lets you be aware of certain issues and what people have done to fix them. every utv you buy will have problems at some point early or later. I work with a guy who just got a brand new rihno and already had fuel problems(kinked hose). And are you wanting a utv to drive sporty like the rzr and still be narrow enough to go on atv trails. or are you doing more hauling and using the box function like on the rihno more. Its really all depends what your really expecting from your unit and what you'd prefer to be doing. I used to ride an 04 polaris predator did that one up and i switched to the razor and never regreted it I have way more fun can bring more gear and a buddy to sit with you. So i'm not going to tell you what to buy cause its not my money lol. As i said figure out what you really want.

Dude the razor is the best thing since stripper poles :drunk2:...But on a serious note all i gotta say is friends dont let friends ride rhino's ....So if you still want to be our friends get a razor :devil3:

 

I can't speak for the Rhino, it wasn't an option for me because of trail width restrictions and I don't need it for any type of utility use, but I haven't had any problems with my Rzr. The airbox issue is a serious one but it's not happening to everybody and Polaris seems to be making efforts to fix it. From what I've read it seems to be more of a problem in areas with fine dust. The airbox gets a lot of attention in the forums and there are aftermarket fixes, but there are also thousands of posts here that are all about how much fun we're having and what folks are doing to make them even better.

 

Thanks for the opinions. Just want to ride don't need the rear box on a Rhino. The smaller size of the Rzr and the fact of more power are big factors for me. Have been mountain sledding for years and know that you can never have too much power. Found some used Rzr's to look at. One has only 30 plus Hrs. The other has lots of accesories but 1200 miles. Will post the final choice soon I hope.

 

I sold my 2007 Rhino and got a RZR. The RZR requires an after market intake which is $300 to $450. The Rhino needs extensive performance mods to make it entertaining about $1000 and replacement shocks or long travel $1500 to $5000 to make the ride bearable. The RZR has some nice reatures ie FI, tach, decent seats, lock and ride, cup holders, OS handle, adjustable steering wheel, AWD, and sounds real good. Also its an American company and American made. If you don't need the bigger bed, go RZR.

 

Just get the Cyclonic air box = problem fixed.
I plan in the spring to install the DFR intake & fuel controller, HMF dual exhaust (goto utube and hear it very deep sound (RZR dual exhaust is the search words)
