Just spent almost an hour spraying the mud out of all the nooks and crannies of my 800. I do it after every ride, and have been since my first atv. Made me curious how much time everyone else spends cleanup up their rzr.

I thought about how much time I put in cleaning, just did it today (2.5 hrs) and realized to close plastic around that engine or front end would trap heat. Not good. So its either clean a lot or have possible heat related issues. I'll take cleaning. We have PA clay around here though too.

I've sprayed my ride down with baby oil and spray silicone. Both are great to help mud fall off. And I normally wait a day or two to clean. Another thing I've done is spray muddy bike down with simple green (don't dilute) and let soda for like 10 mins also is a big help.

Yeah I can't put my ride up dirty for more than a night. We go night riding in trails / mud a lot so I'll clean up the next day. Takes a couple hours, pull the skid plate, etc and clean it up well. Use IZ W99 out of a foam lance on the pressure washer as a pre-soak. Rinse. Another shot of the foam lance, with some regular car wash soap like Duagloss 902 or Mr. Pink, and go to town with the mitt. I've got a Master Blaster MB-3 (motorcycle dryer) that I use on my Rzr, cars, bikes etc. I like to think that drying it thoroughly after washing helps.

Yeah you would think polaris would have installed or offered wheel wells
The problem with wheel wells is that stuff will get back behind them. Once it's back there it will stay there. Not good.

I started my son off when he was 6 with a small quad and disabled the electric start, i told him if he couldnt start it he couldnt ride it! 10 years later, if you cant clean it you can drive it.
our time varies depending on terrain. Car wash just down the block , razor and trailer get cleaned at the same time.
I got my start in motocross at 4 and raced until I was 17 when I got hurt and stopped. From my first bike my pop made me clean (or help clean at that age lol) but that's where my cleaning / maintenance routine comes from. When I got older if my bike wasn't clean, running right, etc it was on me and I wouldn't be racing. Not to say my pops didn't help me with the harder stuff.

I spend several hours after a multi-day trip. Part of the time is removing and reinstalling my Factory UTV skid plate and other accessory parts and pieces. I use Simple Green. After I'm done with the washing part I clean or change the air filter, change the oil and filter, and put grease in all zerks. Even with all that, as soon as I put everything back together I find something I missed.

I spray wd-40 on mine before i go out if its going to be muddy. Good deal we picked up while racing motocross. Mud and dust practically wipes off. Just be sure not to spray the brake rotors. Trust me, you're not going to stop very well for a mile or so. With that said i spend usually 20-30 minutes pressure washing then another hour or two detailing and what not if i feel like it haha

Dust does stick to it but it also makes it way easier to clean up afterwords. When i used to race motocross, between races we would just use a towel or old shirt and the mud/dirt would easily wipe off the number plates and what not. Very rarely needed water. Its preference really. Ive always used wd since my moto days so i continue to do it with the rzr.

I clean for at least 4-6 hours after every ride. Detailing everytime. SC1 and spray tire shine. Works the best for me. I've never left mine dirty for more than a 12 hrs once i got home from a ride. I do alot of shows so its easier to get it right then having to rush later. But she aint no parking lot queen......

Mud??? What the hay is mud? In my neck of the woods I might see mud once a year. Heck I brought back more mud from ROTR than I get all the rest of the year. Works for me since I usually only have to hose of the dust after most of my rides. 20 minutes and I'm done!

I "try" to keep it to an hour, but it's close to 2 after every ride. Hit everything for quite a while with the pressure washer, then foam cannon and rinse. Dry plastics, then SC1 on all exterior surfaces, silicone spray on all hoses and underside plastics, WD 40 on all metal (suspension, frame, chassis).
