rzr 50" to s conversion?

thinking about doing a "s" conversion kit to my 2008 rzr I was looking into arched a arms but most vendors seem to recommend the "S" conversion with the arched arms over like lifting the 50" (it could use wider stance)
Has anyone done this conversion? What shock work with that kit ect?

also what axle is everyone running and whos better? super atv, backwoods armor or outkast fabworx?

The OutKast kit is not long travel. It is a lift only but widens the stance to 58". Most S kits will widen you out. I use Rhino axles ad my buddy uses Summers Bros on his 800 with the S conversion.

I've got the SATV +6 LTR kit on mine. It's the older kit with the straight lower arms. I think the "S" kit is only a +5. Either way, mine sits at 67"-69" depending on how I have my preload set. The thing I like about my set up is that I could use my stock shocks until I could afford better. I'd bet you can probably do the same with the new kit. Call SATV and ask.

Cool thanks guys im looking for an extra inch or 2 of clearance the added width/stability would b nice on my narrow machine whats the better axle to run i keep hearing the same 3 summers rhino and guerilla. Does anyone offer a better warranty?

A company called custom diesel had built a few sets. And then we changed them a bit. I don't think they build them anymore. And we used sixity rzr s axles and our Bandit rzr s shocks. Also speed line brake lines. It is a plus 5 each side wider and 2 inch forward and rearward arms. Handles like a dream. Any plus 5 rzr s kit will get you where you want to be. A ton of guys use super atv's kit.

any steering issues?
I'm not sure which way to go. thearched arms claim a lot but everyone has there own opinion on that
I just know the last time on the trail I put it to work on a few river crossings and the added clearance would be nice for next trip out after I rebuild the front diff.
well that clearance that long arm kit added is impressive. shock will be the next investment

I also have the Super ATV +5 arched (S) Kit. I did the package deal with Rhino axles and Bandit shocks. I love the difference! My only complaint would be that they don't make a CV boot guard, so the outer boots are more exposed to sticks ect.
The quality of the materials is WAY better than stock Polaris stuff.
I'm not sure if you gain much clearance in the middle without a lift. I added a 3" lift.

I hadnt even thought about cv guards on the arched arm setups. I was painting and cleaning up these stock s arms (wishing they were arched) and already thinking of replacing the plastic cv guard with stainless I have a access to lasers and giant press brakes at work so making some custom cv guards can b done if needed.

They are going through the process of making it a bolt on. I personally went there and picked it up and talked to the guys up there. Long story short, yes I had to grind or machine down my rear shock bushings. I think they are planning on making the shock mount wider on the upper control arms to fit the fox shocks. Because they had shock spacers in the hardware kit if you were to have the trail shocks. It made a huge difference in ground clearance and stability. So far so good!
