ok, so after everyone including rugged telling me what a badass setup i have, i am continuing to have problems with it. now i will say that jason and greg have been awesome at helping to correct the issues i am experiencing. an through greg's generosity i have a music amp from them that i am trying to install today to boost the headphone volume. does anybody on the board know where to plug this amp "chip" into. it came with absolutely no instructions or pictures. can anybody help?

I don't have the music amp installed on mine and I cant come close to turning it all the way up. If I max the volume, lay the headset on the seat, I can stand next to the RZR and hear the music. Live mic isn't stuck on somehow is it (music would be muted to about 10% volume)? Volume on headset turned up? MP3 player volume? Intercom volume?. Maybe the internal gain knob is way out of adjustment. Rugged radio website has a tech guide section with adjustment procedures.

I would have them check out the unit, something isnt right. I wondered why they even made an amp board for it.

yes, been thru everything else, its the 660 model, no the music isnt muted, i am told it is because it is a 4 place setup and is slightly quieter due to the 4 outputs.
everything is working as it should, im told, greg sent me the music amp no charge. have the guts of the intercom on my workbench and have no idea where it plugs in and im betting i only get 1 shot at hooking it up. lol.

Sorry to hear your having trouble with it. I have always wanted an intercom setup, especially on the teryx because it was so loud. I'd like to check yours out one of these days, I have never actually got to put a set on.

Hey James,

Sorry for finding this thread so late! You install the music amp exactly the same as the DSP chip. If you are running both, they plug in line with each other. You can plug and unplug the chips numerous times so don't worry about it being a one time deal. I'm having Greg do a video today of how to install the DSP chip, the music amp, and both at the same time. I should have it up by the end of the day. Until then, you can follow the same procedures for installing the DSP chip.

Thanks,
Jason

OK, I know I "vented " a bit last night due to my frustration but have to give u an update. Talked with Greg(owner?)at rugged just now. He is just gonna send me brand new everything. He isn't even doing the send ur back then we will send out new. Said it will ship out today an just send defect back when u can.
I can't applaud rugged enuf. Anybody can pimp a product. The customer service happens after the sale.in my opinion Rugged radio continues to set the curve in that department.
Greg, Nick and Jason I can't thank you enuf. I will do whatever I can to promote your product to others. Continued success

Please do, I'm a little worried I'de need one installed too if I put an exhaust on. I wander if the 350's or other 2 place models are a lot louder.
