Did you call DFR and see what they had to say?

 

seems like i remember reading on here about having to use different length push rods. not for sure if that was with the rockers you are using or not though.

 

Push Rods...

 

Is push rods common problem with these i was told by DFR that they were just bolt on and play basically? It seems push rods are to long tho cuz when i put the rollers on they push the valves down and i loose all compression.

 

Sounds like the person you talked to doesnt know what there talking about. I have had that problem before with DFR. I dont know why they dont find out for sure instead of guessing. Almost seems like they just want to make the sale.

 

did you make sure that the piston is TDC before adjusting them?

 

put them in on my stroked motor with stock push rods,and it worked fine ,so they may be to long for stock head height, back the adjusters all the way out,bring it up to tdc and at least one should be loose,if not there to long,there are also 2 differnt offsets to these rockers make sure you got the right ones on the right valves,had to look at dfr photo to figure it out

Got ahold of DFR yesturday they beleive that when got the head done that the vavle seats are cut deeper making the valve height taller thatn stock. So i am supposta measure mine and they will compare to theirs and try different pushrods.

 

Sounds to me they are way out of adjustment!

 

The way I adjusted roller rockers in the past...leave them loose and start the motor, if it won't start, adjust them 1/2 turn tighter and try to start. Keep going until the motor will start...even running rough, you can warm it up and adjust them correctly.

Often when installed the rockers are too tight and the valves are held off the seat. Even just a bit and no start.
