Ride Command headset options other than Sena?

Hello. Per multiple web pages, "Only a Sena® 10R headset will connect to Ride Command." In the list of compatible devices, listed are Sena SMH10 and 20S. Either way, since Ride Command should basically just Bluetooth to the headset, it seems hard to believe that only Sena headsets should be compatible. Also, since people have been using other tech for communications, that Polaris would team with Sena and make a proprietary comm link would be counter to customer-friendly.

We have been using Cardo devices (such as PackTalk Bold), which are more capable than Sena (DMC mesh up to 15 riders and the ability to chat with only the co-driver, when needed). We certainly aren't going to all change to Sena, just to connect to Ride Command, but having the RC system and not using it to it's full extent is also undesireable. FYI, Cardo will connect via Bluetooth to other systems, smart phones and GPS's.

Does anyone have knowledge of
1) Does RC actually connect to other headsets than Sena?
2) If not, is there any plan for Polaris to open this connectivity to other than Sena?

Thank you all.

Have you received an answer? While we can all connect other bluetooth devices (phones, etc) to ride command, does other brands allow for simultaneous connections to share ride command music, coms, and phone calls?
