The secondary clutch you can hold by hand and loosen the center bolt, it will slide off the tranny output shaft. Watch for any shims behind it, that's how they align the clutch.
The primary clutch (the forward smaller clutch) you need to remove the center bolt and then insert the puller. It will thread into the clutch and push it off of the crank.
Do what you need to do and put it back together. You can hold the secondary with the help of a buddy and torque it to what ever the book says, something like 40ft-lbs.
The primary is much tight, around 95ft-lbs. They make a holding tool but I've also seen people strapping the clutch to the frame to hold it while loosening and tightening it. They say do not use an impact.
