You can have you ecu reflashed

Ok take it to the dealer and have the ecu re-flashed and they will remove the rev limiter ?

 

No a dealer can't do that, cheaper to buy a Power Commander V from us than flashing your ECU.

Why are you not wanting a ignition box?

why are you wanting to get rid of your rev limiter? ive personally seen that cause more problems than i can count even on performance motors like the 450 quads if the motor is not properly balanced. my riding buddy thru a rod on his `11 rzr due to him raiseing the rev limiter with a power commander. now im not saying that if you use common sense and no when to let off the throttle you wont be fine but theres allways the 1 time you hold into it just a little to long when parts start flying. to me a few more miles per hour is not worth even taking the chance. just my opinion tho

 

It's there to protect the engine, not make you go slower. You might make mods to the engine that allow you to raise it, or decide your willing to push it 500 or 1000 rpm higher, but you'd still never want to remove it.

 

True about the rev limiter but I still like to have it gone due to for one it scares the hell out of my wife when it cuts in and I know by sound which is safe rpms and I do a lot of flat long open dirt roads which you can really put it down and leave it.

 

Then, as mentioned, a PCV is your best route. It won't remove it but you can raise it far above safe
