look at NRG. they also make a lock. no personal experience with install. one thing you may run into is wobble after installation. just from what i read.

Installed a Dragon Fire quick release, works well had it for 2 years no issues. Mainly for theft deterrent when camping.

When you say suede is it soft and fuzzy?
Which would be closer to the stock feel and less slippery?

 

my NRG suede wheel is not soft,, It is fuzzy like split leather (also have the NRG quick release)
great grip but leaves my hands black/dirty by the end of the day
I do rinse them off a couple of times per ride and I don't wear gloves

 

Were did you get yours from?
And how do you like the quick release?

 

I have a regular XPT not the Pro,, just stating the suede issues
The quick release may not look right with the new steering column (not sure what the premium one looks like) but it is nice and tight, no wobble compared to the other brand one I got rid of.
