Hi,

I had a polaris sportsman 2002 for 4 years with bear claw tire and never did a puncture during all this time. Now, on my second run with the stock tire of my 570, I did it...75 km from my car...Fortunately I had a puncture repair kit with me and been able to return to my car without any problem...I noticed the stock tire is 2 ply..I think my bear claw was 6 ply....???2 ply seem very little to me...did you done puncture on yours? is that was just a bad luck or I have to change it for better tire...I really don't want to have problem every 2 run;)

I did noticed that too, pretty fragile amd very soft too

I got some sedona ripsaw, 6 ply and alot harder.

I ride mostly on logging road and they use alot of very sharp rocks, so i replaced my stock with these and mounted my stock tires on another set of wheels, i use 1 for a spare and i can use the originals during winter months.

Well, I popped one on ride #2 (140 miles on the machine) riding a gravel trail. There is one other 570 in town and she popped hers on her very first ride. Ugghhh! I've been searching the forum and find lots of bigger & more aggressive tire suggestions. Can anyone recommend stock "size" tires in a 6 or 8 ply for my kind of riding which is 50% old gravel railroad bed and 50% forest trails and forest roads? I don't do any mudding or anything so I am looking for "ride" and "durability". Thanks in advance!

Thanks Frank and Soapy! I really appreciate your help. I've been riding quads for almost 25 years and never "punctured" a tire before so this was all new to me until I read this thread on the 2-ply tires.

I inally gone to my dealer and he told me im the firts one that this happen. One of his customer have 3000 km with no problem on stock tire. He explain me the the 6 ply is only on the side of the tire...for myself, my puncture was in the center of the tire so a 6 ply would not help that day....he said the only brand that is more dhrable is bearclaw...so I took a chance and buy a spare tire that I bring with me every run...If I do another puncture I willl change tire.
