power commander water proof?

DOes anyone know if its ok to take the power commander 5 in the mud and water?

Yep, I did similar covering the electronics with a piece of clear vinyl and I used velcro to make it easy to remove. The clear is nice as you can see through it and don't have to remove it to see if anything is wet or muddy. So far, it even keeps water out when I wash it. Now, wouldn't help if it went swimming though!

I also use dielectric grease in the connections and I cover the ports with electrical tape for extra protection.

I also made up a flap that covers the PC5 and Autotune modules. It's actually a silicone baking sheet that I cut to size and mounted behind the RZR ecu and simply hangs over the electronics.

Never had an issue and we run lots of water, river crossings and mud.
