I don't wear seat belt in the car ( just in RZR ) and so far I paid fine only once, but I am pretty sure without helmets on motorcycle or in Slingshot I will be pulled over all the time.

Exactly.... Helmet requirement would be a total deal breaker for me. Don't need a helmet in one's jeep or that steet roadster either.

Trying to plant the seed at home about the Slingshot. Not going well. Gal said if we get a 3 wheeler it has to be an Elio. She wants AC and a roof. So far the Elio is a fantasy, but she is watching and hoping.

California law has all 3 wheelers registered as motorcycles but a motorcycle license is not valid to drive it, you must have class C (standard car license). The law also read unless you are a parking enforcement officer you must wear a helmet. So depending on your state laws, these rules will vary.
