No Reverse!

I was at the dunes this past weekend and got high centered at the top of the ridge. I shifted into reverse and gave it some gas, then heard a very loud pop. We were able to push the rzr back down the hill and discovered that there is no power in reverse whatsoever. I can still operate on Low and High. But reverse doesn't work at all. Any ideas and how much the cost of the fix is? No warranty

You’ve more than likely broken your reverse chain. You’ll want to not drive it so by some chance chain gets thrown into other gears and caused more damage

Thank you for the quick reply brotha. Is that a costly expense for the shop? Its a 17 RZR XP 4 1000.

I’d recommend the @SuperATV double reverse chain. It’s pricey but way more reliable than the single chain setup. While you’re in there upgrade the pinion plate with a gilbert designs plate $35
Or also upgrade bearings while it’s opened up. It can get pricey. Labor time shouldn’t be any more than 6 hours worth of time. So depending on what reputable shops or dealers around you charge for labor rate.
