I've been searching and unsure which direction to go. Any real life opinions are greatly appreciated. Would like to make it simple and order a complete kit instead of trying to build myself. Maybe $1000-$1500. Which brands to avoid or recommend a kit would be appreciated.

I'm not an audiophile, but my Audio Formz stage 3 can crank out the tunes and party hard enough for me.

I went with noam. Heard good things and priced good. 4 6.5" pod speakers amp, 10" sub, and controller for $799. Ill let you know how it sounds. Bought a second battery kit with a kinetic battery to help power it all

An additional battery is not a replacement for the weak charging system. If your accessories use more energy than the charging system can produce, then an additional battery will help it play a little longer but it may be necessary to charge the battery with an external charger

Yeah I have a battery tender that will be on it each night to keep them charged. The kinetic batteries are made for sound systems charge quick and retain energy much better than a traditional battery. Half the size and twice the power

MB Quart seems to be pretty good so far. I was asking the same question on these forums not long ago and someone informed me that MB Quart's stuff was pretty waterproof. I haven't submerged my kick pods yet so not sure how waterproof it really is. I like to drive through water, so waterproof was a must for me.

Installation is meant for a dealer application though. I'm pretty savvy with these kinds of things and the install was pretty challenging for me even. I think the main reason was because the system I bought was compatible with so many different machines and came with numberous extra harnesses that weren't needed in my specific installation but some parts of the instruction manual are misleading in the sense that it doesn't always break down what isn't required for your specific application..they just assume a dealer is reading them, or someone who's very proficient.

The system sounds awesome though. I was worried because I have Ride Command and the setup I bought connected with the Ride Command unit via RCA which I know isn't the best quality (at least in home theater it's not). But I was impressed at the quality for sure.

In summary, I'd recommend MB Quart DIY kits if you're pretty savvy, don't mind a challenge, or plan to pay a dealer to install. The sound is great quality and the manufacturer claims to be pretty waterproof.

I think weather-proof is the best way to describe any of the kits on the market from any manufacture. Waterproof is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. With your budget in mind, you should be able to get a high quality hassle-free kit.
