I need to purchase a whip. Im looking at the Safeglo fiberoptic whip w/ quick mount. Any body ever use the safeglo fiber optic whip? Does it work well? Hows the quick monut? Where is the best place to mount the whip on the RZR do you get the bed mount bracket or the one that clamps on the rear roll cage bar? Any info would be great or suggestions on different whips.

We have 2 of the SafeGlow fiber optic whips and the color is nice. Word of warning about safeglow..... we have never had a problem with the led's or fiber optics but we have been through 5 whips because either the clear plastic breaks where it connects to the base or the base comes apart comletely. I have looked back 5 times to see no whip and have to start looking for it. They have always been nice and replaced them for free but I am sick of it and will not buy from them or recomend them. Service is great but the product is not. Another agrivation is that every whip we have received from them has a different plug and I am sick of changing plugs out.

So in looking at your web site, why can I not find any Quick Light Whips?

A fuse is almost always a good idea. I actually have mine wired up to my running lights with no additional fuse though. Ive had it that way for a year. It is always on when the key is on. It doesn't draw hardly anything at all. When I don't have the whip on I just slip the provided rubber cover over the base.

If you run a separate wire all the way up to the dash I would highly recommend that you put a fuse online.

UTV Inc doesn't do forum discounts anymore. Every once in awhile the do one day sales though.

I know this thread is a couple months old...

Malcolm Smith parts guy told me the same thing about Safeglo. He joking said they get 2 back for every 1 they sell :)

I was at the SSSS and I looked at the Quick Lights and the Light'em Up whips.

I don't see many reviews on Light'em Up. They look cool and cost about $50 less than Quick Lights. The only disadvantage is the semi-permanent connection. I assume I could install a Deans Plug or something to completely remove the whip
