Since i already put a full windshield and a cab heater that i already talked about it in this thread …
http://www.rzrforums.net/general-rzr-discussion/125382-my-windshield-project.html

I decided to completely close the cab to fight the often 5 or event 0 deg.F that we get up here in Montreal area.

To resume the whole thing, i wanted a window frame that can bolt on the ProArmor door with lexan windows that will seal on my cooter brown hard top. I know ProArmor already sells a kit with a soft top but with all the equipments I have on the top, this is not a good option for me so i decided to do them myself.

Anyway, I just started the project and it is still in progress and i will post pics as it goes along.

To start, i can tell you right away that the ProArmor doors are the worst kind of door to do that type of project since they have full holes all around the skin and the frame but since i did not want to sell them at a lost to buy different kind of doors, i decided to tweak them to seal them all around properly. So, if you want to do this type of project yourself and do not have doors yet, don’t buy those unless you want to do what i did... Believe me the seals and plastics will stay even in the summer months, only the window will come down.

Here it goes...

You are right and the mechanism is already though but not done yet! ;-) I will make a small lever, about 2 inches long on the ProArmor bracket and will connect to the slamlatch button using a thin 4'' long steel cable. When i push the lever towards the door, the cable will be pulling the slamlach button downward.

If you look in the last pic, there is a box full of different type of seals that i found and ordered on ebay and also at this fantastic hardware supplier McMaster & carr. They have everything a handymand can ask for ! :)

This is what i find took the longest part in this project, It is to find everything you need and think about every building details before doing anything... and wait for the stuff to arrive.

I like it! I am a big fan of cabs as the winter is too cold not to have something to keep it out. Mixed with a heater you will be able to ride in any weather! The thing I keep reminding myself is to dress like you will be outside. Just in case you have to end up walking out of the woods... Good job!

yes i know there are many types, I ordered 5 different kind to do this whole project. The best advice i can give you is to start doing your own design and depending of you doors and gaps to fill, you order the right ones.
But most important of all, do like i did... be patient lol :)

Well, i finished my doors!

I just have ONE word to say... I will not do that again... loll

After taking the pics, i took it outside in the snow and it is a nice feeling to have a warm cab with warm air at your feet and in your face.:)
There is absolutly no rattles, the doors close and open perfectly
Now, I can’t wait to go for a long ride now...

Here are the last pictures for this project.
