I am looking for RZR Front and rear bumpers that are not going to add to much weight but also look good I like the factory pre-runner bumpers but I dont like the top loop and light tabs. I also don't like how far they stick out. I would like a tight fitting bumper just to add a little protection for the front and rear plastic.

Inhave front and rear for sale, front is a pro lift bumper, looks ike the Baja bumpr just doesn't stick out, rear is the baja bumper. There is some dings on the bash plate of the front bumper, with the bumper on you cant see them as they are on the bottom.
$100 for both plus shipping from 23005.

I hate to be persistent, but the salesman in me couldn't help it.
The UTV Crap bumper with paint is only $50 cheaper than ours.
I'm not saying anything bad about their product, except that it's not ours:razz:
Ours does mount to the frame (not radiator) so we can actually call it a bumper. It also includes the nice wrap around skid plate.
I know most outfits offer discounts to forum members, we do the same.

Guys I think the bumpers that attach to the tabs in front of the radiator, like the Polaris bumper, are a really bad idea.

Any small bump and you are walking home from a broken radiator.
Whoever thought that was a good place to mount a BUMPER obviously does not ride.

I like the Holz except it looks like you have to remove the lower plastic to use it. Maybe not but it looks that way in the pics. Holztech?

I like Trail Armors bumper. Saw it at the UTVrally in Moab. Mounts the right way and actually protects things. BTW, the "hoop" on top is designed to keep the top of your radiator from being smashed if you roll or land on your top. So you are less likely to walk home. www.trailarmor.com

I wish the hoop was a full on stinger coming up about 6-8" higher. Stingers keep you from flopping straight over on your top if you are in very steep terrain or ledges and the RZR wants to tip over forward.

Yes, the lower plastic on the front of the RZR will have to come off when installing our bumper. It's much easier build/mount to the frame with out that piece there.
Besides, the bumper and skid plate look cooler IMO. The plastic doesn't serve much purpose other than maybe splash some mud or water away, it wont have as much impact resistance.

I recently ordered the Holtz bumper, I have not got it yet, they were going to weld some light tabs on there for me ( no extra charge ) then get it powdered coated, so it was not a in stock type of order.

The reason for the post is the front plastic piece – what would be the advantage to leaving it on, if there is a advantage I do not mind the extra work of using a dermel.

Holtz – could it really be left on do you think? sorry i don't know your name we delt thru email and i never asked my name is Rusty

Not trying to pee on anyones sales pitch, just going to address his original question.

I just saw some aluminum front and rear bumpers. I "believe" they are pure polaris too, and believe me, I am not a huge fan of pure polaris products even though that is what my RZR is front to back. Waiting on my mandrel bender then will make some cool stuff. Of course I would not be able to do it without everyone posting awesome pics of what they have done.

I like Spectrums rigid mount...thats a cool design. For the price/quality of work check out Pro Armors bumper, theirs is real nice too.

to answer this question in an easy manner ill just say 1 thing. make it work. buy the bumpers from Super ATV which are like $189.99 plus shipping for front and back both if u want pre runner. cut the tabs off where they mount to the radiator and make some brackets to bolt it to the frame. by far the cheapest idea and to b honest most of the pictures of the bumpers ive seen in this thread are extremely UGLY. some are very nice tho like the pro armor. if u own a rzr and have JUST BOUGHT everything on it then ur doing good. everyone modifies or fabricates something ar one point or another y not do it to something thats very important as far as protection and cosmetics. just thbe opinion of a ******* coal miner who works hard for the money i blow on mine and im sure alot of u are just like me. so try it. good luck.

Can you get some pics of how you re-mounted your super atv bumper? I have been tossing this idea around and would love to see how you did it. Youre right, for the money, they cant be beat. A buddy bought the super atv bumper for his Grizz and it seems to be high quality stuff.

mine is still in the shop after i get it out ill post pics never took any before then. save 500 bucks and buy them from super atv. they actually price theyre stuff right not like holts and everyone else who has a bumper with 75 bucks worth of raw material and 100 dollars of labor in making them and then sellf them for 600 bucks. thats an insult to all of us who dont make 50+ per hour napping behind a desk all day long.

k im sorry about 450- 500 for raw steel. now dont get me wrong im sure yalls bumpers are high quality but im not going to spend 450-500 bucks for a bumper then add powder coat and light tabs and dress up plates and everything else that it takes to make those bumpers look as advertised. i would much rather build my own like i did for the rear, or take a cheap bumper and make it my own with slight fabrication. im sorry i just cant justify paying tripple what it cost to make something to buy it from someone else if i can do it on my own.

For the record, our rigid mount bumper cost $395 in bare steel form. $425 w/ powdercoat. We add light tabs, flag mounts, etc. for FREE. A fully integrated skid plate (which we don't show in ANY advertisements) is $75, and the clevis mount option w/ clevis is $50. With that said, the most one of our bumpers could possibly cost is $550...

More power to you if you want to rig up your own contraption, I'm the same way in my personal life. No offense, but if you're going to knock anyone, at least get the facts right.

Some people just don't want to mess with it. That's were we vendors come in. As big as the UTV market is, it's not like we're producing millions of our parts. Therefore, the cost of keeping the lights on, building heated, toilet flushing, rent, loans, phone, fax, internet, accountants, taxes, vendors and employees paid, insurance policies held, materials on the shelf, equipment working, R & D in motion and the shop truck running, has to be split up evenly over the number of products we put out. And last I checked, it isn't illegal for a guy to make a couple extra bucks in profit to put away in a saving account so maybe he can retire some day, or buy his own idea of a toy. So I think this "utv tax" I hear people refer to time and again might just be a matter of supply vs. demand. Maybe at some point as this market grows, we'll be able to lower our prices a little bit due to the fact we need to find ways to produce volumes more efficiently. That would be great for everyone. Until then, feel free to build your own parts. Heck, give me a call and I'll even set you up with tabs. But for the other 80% of UTV owners, us vendors are sitting right here by the phone ready to help you with whatever you'd like. We’re happy to do it since it’s you who keep our families fed with the money you’ve worked hard enough to save for your toy.

Thank you,
