Not sure if you have a roof or not but I have the cooter brown roof along with the full lock and ride windshield. I have the 30" double row totron with the tusk whip mounts. I had to notch it my windshield to fit my bar on the way I wanted it.

Eman0993, if you flipped the tusk mounts would that mount the light under the bar to protect it from tree limbs more?

Yes it prob would. But I'd have to lower it a bit for it to fit under my roof which would be to low for my liking

No problem. Also I learned to mount the tusk whip mounts on the roll cage then put the light bar onto the whip mounts.

 

How does the light hold up to abuse like tree limbs up that high?

 

Haven't been in the woods to much yet but reading a lot of other posts they seem to hold up great.

 

All I ride is woods, and its been there 6 months and it has took some hits. It's angled downwards and that seems to help it line up with the roof line. It sticks up some but not bad. I have had it mounted with whip mounts and that brings it completely under the roof line. Here's a pic of the way it was with whip mounts.

Tusk also makes mounts that are horizontal. Thats what I use and then you can take the legs off your light bar(that has end mounts like Ridged) and just use the tusk mounts. Plus only $10 each!!

 

So did you mount the light bar to the horizontal section of the cage or where it makes the bend? I'm also tying to use the tusk mounts but was thinking of using the vertical mounts for a 30" bar.

 

the tusk mounts work great for about all light bars. we have the light bars, and tusk mounts in stock ready to go and everything always ships for free!!

anyone with the lock and ride sport roof have these light bars mounted?

 

We have them mounted both ways with the lock n ride roof. Mounted on top through the roof and on the front with the tusk bar clamps. Both ways work well.

 

Sounds like its the way to go if you're running a 20" bar. I'd like to see this also. I want to put a 12" on the rear for when I'm plowing at night I can see

 

so my tusk whip mounts came in and my light bar is here i will try to install tomorrow or sunday, whip mounts ran me 40$ due to living in canada haha

Yes there welded. I like this way better than those tusk mounts. I think there way to bulky. This way I will have two extra whip mounts(tusk).

 

anybody got any pictures of there wiring? i have the totron wiring harness and switch i just wanna see how u ran the wires from the light bar to the battery and how it is under the seat

 

the totron harness is way too long so you'll need to bundle it somewhere or cut out some i'll see if i have a pic

 

do you just zip tie it on the roll cage as u work your way down to the battery?

 

I haven't decided if I am going to drill holes in my windshield pillar and fish it through or just zip tie it to the pillar. The light bar pig tail is in a nice rubber sleeve, so it doesn't look bad. Prolly going to zip tie it. Don't want to weaken my cage with holes. But I ran mine down pillar, through the hole, behind lft fender flare to the rocker. Through rocker to battery compartment. Ran switch through the drive shaft tunnel to the dash.

 

anybody else got any pics to how they ran the wires for the light bar? i dont want it to be a complete mess under my seat
