You may or may not have to use a jumper wire for any aftermarket switch. Consult the switch instructions.

If its wired up wrong the fuse will pop.

Light came on but wires got hotter than hell

 

What light is this?

Something isnt right. Is your ground right? What voltage is it pulling? Use a meter on it.

Very rare to have any wiring issues. Did you adjust or change anything? PM me if needed.

 

My bad. Hooked 2 wires up wrong. That's why I'm not an electrician. Light works now with no hot wires.

Blue wire power, white is ground, and black is the power to the LED in the switch that comes on when you switch the switch into the on position.

Just tried it they're way and back to hot wires again.

I own light it up offroad-fort smith arkansas. There are other light it up offroads too tho.

But i posted at the top what our wiring would be.

Your easiest thing is gonna be to use a meter.
