Hi,
Searched the threads ~ found lots of jerky throttles over bumps ect. When I first take off, my 09 RZR-S is jerky in the throttle whether going backwards or forward. I drove my brother inlaws brand new 09 RZR-S yesterday, his is smooth as silk. I only have 200 miles and its been an issue since the day I bought it. Any ideas how to make take offs smoother? Thanks.

I would check the throttle cable adjustment, mine was way off from the factory. You would be pushing down on throttle and then it would jump when it finally hooked up...

Ok, I got mine fixed last night. I checked the amount of excess throttle cable at the gas peddle, had close to 1/4- 3/8 inch. Adjusted the throttle cable until I could only get my thumb nail under the end of the cable giving me the 1/16-1/8" of free play per manual. I started the engine a few times while adjusting to make sure the idle didnt start to creep upwards. Took it for a spin, going forward no more jerking. Reverse still jerky, but I attribute that to the extra low range reverse is.

thanks for the advice HAV19 and others!
