...Why?

Is it not visible when going down the road for thousands of people to see and photograph it?
Well... I may be paranoid. (seen some amazing stuff happen in a matter of minutes, with a bit of information)

Say you irritate someone on the 'net that is unhinged. You just opened up your information to the entire world in a public forum.

"Someone" can tie your posts to a name or address from the plates. From there, depending on how nasty someone wants to get, along with their connections. "They" can pull a whole lot of information about you. A lot more than people think.

Chances are very small that it will happen, but......

If nothing else, to keep the "your car warranty is about to expire" people away. :D

Completely different model that is also from SuperATV. Take a look at the pics I posted above. Handle is centered in the windshield, with a gas strut on either side.
That would make more sense, mine has handles on both sides with struts on both sides, if I'm riding alone I have to stop and reach clear to the passenger side to unhinged that side also. One in the middle would remedy the glove box issue and not being able to open it if you are solo.

@Reverend_FNG Root cause analysis? I love it! I don't hear that too often outside my immediate circle. I'm a student of Lean Six Sigma (green belt). I wish more peeps/companies focused on those principles.

If that scares you, you should talk with a buddy of mine in the CIA. He’s told me what he can do with someone’s last name and 2 minutes, and it’s absolutely terrifying 😳😳😳.

He’s not the run of the mill guy on social media, I get where you’re coming from. At the end of the day a license plate is no big deal. Heck if you own a home or piece of land I can have your name and tax address in about 15 min.

That was quietly my point. Yes, someone can get you/me at anytime.

I just want to them to at least do some work at it. "Instead of this is me (advertising), here I am" as a start.

EDIT: "I don't agree with (made-up name) Joebobspongpants. Here is his license plate, now I know who he is"

Been wrong before. I'll be quiet now.

Ishikawa diagram. (y)

Every principle goes out the window when management preaches 6 sigma and decides it makes them look bad. 2 days worth of indoctrination on QFD and HOQ was disrupted when someone said what if there are no requirements presented?

@GreggM90

Not gonna throw the first stone and all that

@deej has some pretty good information backed up with pictures. Evidence, one could say of a proper installation.

So what is the final conclusion? OEM, Supplier or User error?

I have had my mea culpa episodes.
It's incredibly easy to just make the assumption it's user error based on your past history with a company.

It's also incredibly ridiculous to assume everyone is beneath you in mechanical aptitude. (this isn't directed at you)

But I am tired of the assumptions I just "put it in wrong". It's a f*cking windshield, it has bolt holes that directly bolt to parts of the roll cage.

When I PERFECTLY line up and install these top corner bolts- I could NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM GET MY ROOF ON. I don't know about anyone elses reality but in mine you cannot pass a solid material through another solid material.

The lowers were shipped assembled wrong. That's just sh*t QC and NOBODY can argue that. That's like sharpening the handle of a knife and not the blade and thinking that's A-OK. Like no it's not hard to remove one bolt from each clamp and switch the arms to the other clamp- but I shouldn't have too, especially after having just fully mounting the windshield only to find THEIR SH*T WAS BACKWARDS.

Simple. This is the upper portion of the flip up windshield mounted PERFECTLY. Perfectly as in it is aligned exactly how the manufacturer intended. The rubber strip they instruct you to place on the top lip closes beautifully against the top portion of the roll cage. The two corner bolts that mount to the roll cage itself are installed and snug. How exactly can I put the roof on? Put the clamps behind the poly? Sure. Ok. Now I can no longer ever remove my roof or adjust my rear view mirror.

Cut two little slots out for the clamps to pass through, and the extra material (poly) in between my roof and cage now cause too much pressure for the clamps to even close properly. I could not force hard enough to close them if I sat my 300lbs ass on the roof of the damn thing. Also, ripping the rubber seals of my roof. NO GO.

Not a hard concept to understand here fellas. This window was shit QC or it was just flat out the wrong windshield for the unit that happened to fit with numerous modifications.

Old thread I know !!! But this isn't the windshield I ordered and now I am stuck with this piece of S&!% !!!!!!! It isn't the windshield they show in there pictures either and it has been redesigned and they say nothing about it. Period and that's a load of CRAP as well. I know I had the old design and.it was awesome!!! This one just socks all the way around!! It leaks water at the seam. It doesn't fit the dash as it says it does,my latch won't even hold the windshield closed and it's literally less than a month old!! Crappy Chinese JUNK!!! Thanks SUPER ATV FOR NOTHING!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM THEM!!!
