The wait for Makin Trax progressive springs to arrive, get mounted and then tested is over.

Once the springs arrived I had trouble getting the new springs on so Steve did it for me and got them right back to me. It took me full week to get the RZR loaded up and to the local OHV park for a spin.

After this morinng I can tell you I'm thrilled with these springs. I did not try to jump this outing but I did float my RZR through rutted out, washed out and very rocky terrain. The same terrain that forced me to slow way down with the stocker shock springs because I was slamming bump stops. I could not feel any rear bucking but got a couple of hard bounces up in front, still don't think I bottomed them.

Someone on a quad was trying to keep up through the rough stuff and was amazed at how fast the RZR could go through it. I let him jump in on the passenger side for a spin, the extra weight gave me a little more roll but the shocks handled very well with two.

In the end, I can't debate linear spring load rates divided by the hyper variable of a progressive spring load rate but I can say that Polaris really could take a lesson from these progressive springs for thier future models.

Also, I take back the crap I gave Johnny Cat about all of his freakin Afco posts Steve really is a stand up guy.

Yes that's the price for all 4 springs. If it's on the rzr s it's real easy to install (did mine tonight). If it's on a stock rzr you'll need to rent a tool to compress the springs, on the s, you just have to back the nuts off of the springs. In fact on the s, you don't have to pull the whole spring, just the lower bolt, then slide the old springs off and slide the new ones on.

Do have quick question myself. Those of you with a RZR S, that's installed the springs, what did you do with the brake lines? Seems like there isn't a lot of room between the bottom of the spring and the brake line.

Well I took my RZR S out today with new progressive springs on the back the back springs moved to the front and a revalve by Steve. It was a huge improvement. My only regret is that I did not order all 4 progressive springs. The front was still a little bouncy but the back was awesome. Does not buck up in the back near as badly and jumps much better.

THANKS Steve!

I will be ordering the front progressives soon.

Steve,

Hey, I just got the shipment in and am looking forward to installing and testing these bad boys out.
I was wondering if there is a difference between the front and rear springs?
Also, I left a msg on your machine (probably closed for the holiday) I'm pretty sure you gave me only one tracking number so I was just looking for the other one. I presume that you sent two shocks in each box? I only have one box of two atm.

Thanks, hopefully they show up soon:ride:

do they ever, i rode the piss out of mine this weekend through all types of terrain, jumps, whoops, rough trails, high speed everything, and never bottomed out once. my only complaint is that these springs weren't available any sooner. go ahead man take the plunge you will never regret it.
